Caden Is Growing Too Fast

Can you believe that Caden was born a year ago? Where has the year gone? He is such a sweet, content little guy; he really goes with the flow. He loves his tongue, and he can do some amazing twists and turns. Caden also has one dimple on his right cheek. We like to say that in our family, we have two and a half with dimples (Sienna, Smokey & Caden), and two and a half without dimples (Breven, Cherlynn & Caden).
Here's a little video to show some of Caden's adorable facial expressions.

The video does not include his first word, but I'm putting "Yum, Yum!" in his baby book as his first word. First, he loves to eat, and if he sees anyone eat anything, he thinks he needs a bite. He uses the moan at the beginning of the clip and gets louder and louder until he gets something. He also says, "Yum!" after most bites while he smacks and licks his lips.

Happy 1st Birthday Little Man!!

Frog Chair

We have a baby walker that my oldest sister had with her twins 13 years ago. I know doctors advice not to have walkers because they are so dangerous or they don't help children learn to walk. Walkers may even prolong walking. However, even with all this negative advice, I actually like our frog chair.

My sister passed it on when we had Sienna. This frog chair has been used by seven children so far and definately looks like it. There is even a piece of duct tape holding one of the bars together.

I started using it with Caden the last few weeks and I smile everytime I put him in the chair. First, Caden loves the chair and starts to giggle. Second, I think about all the babies that have sat in the chair.

I must be crazy if I get sentimental over an old chair.

Caden's Six Months

I can't believe how hard it is to say that Caden is Six-Months old. I realized that when I was pregnant, I would always round up when I was asked how far along I was. However, now that Caden is here, I am rounding down. I will not say "six" or whatever month we are on until the exact day. It is hard to see the time past so quickly.

We are so blessed. He is such a content, easy-going baby. I love that he loves to cuddle. He even puts his arms around my neck when his head is resting on my shoulder. It makes my heart melt.

Since I love to hold him so much, it has taken him a little more time to learn to sleep all night. However, at the beginning of the month, we finally switched the beds around and gave Caden his own room. It made all the difference.
