I've been meaning to post this earlier, but it's taking more time for me to get things done. Sienna started first grade this week. She was so excited to go and she even spent about an hour the day before trying on clothes to decide her first outfit. I can no longer pick her clothes because she definately has her own likes. Right now she wants things with sparkles and glitter.
Mom was most anxious about getting to school on time. Sienna has a hard time winding down at night. After she is tucked in bed, she can sing, read or play in her bed for a couple of hours before going to sleep. This last month we have been working on telling our bodies to go to sleep. It was not a big deal before because she could sleep in since school did not start until 11:30 a.m. However, now we have to be there at 8:00 a.m. Most days she would not even wake up until that time. We had to make some changes so we could be on time.
As we were loading the car at 7:40, Breven started telling me something in his frantic voice. It took me a minute to figure out that he needed his "school stuff." He could not drop Sienna off at school without taking his lunchbox too. Everyday this week, when I made Sienna's lunch I also made a lunch for Breven and put it in his lunchbox. He takes his lunchbox to school and he carries it to drop Sienna off and back to the car.
It has been a transition from kindergarten to first grade. A full school day has been harder for all of us. The first day, Breven kept asking, "Ya, Ya yet?" He missed her and wanted to go pick her up all morning.
Well, we have had a good three days and look forward to more. Hopefully, we can keep up our schedule and get the important things done.

Sienna is just like my nieces... they all want to pick out their OWN clothes. Man, I would love to have someone come in my room in the morning and pick out my outfit and lay it out on my bed. Sounds like heaven to me!
Breven is too cute! It must be so hard for him to have her gone all day!
wow, your kids are so big. I remember when brevin was born. 1st grade, exciting.
